New milestone reached!

Over the past three weekends, my co-president and I had the privilege of visiting three churches in the Glendale area to share our mission of supporting children in Armenia. With the help of welcoming parish communities, we were able to present our cause and offer 20 mini symbolic form paintings similar to the one shown for purchase. Through these efforts, we successfully raised $2000, which will go directly to the Paros Foundation to aid children affected by the war in Armenia.
This accomplishment goes beyond the number of paintings sold or the funds collected—it is a reflection of the compassion and generosity that exist within our local community. Every contribution, no matter the size, represents an act of solidarity with children who are growing up in extremely difficult conditions. The money we raised will help provide food, school supplies, clothing, and other basic necessities, but it also carries something less tangible yet equally important: hope. Knowing that people thousands of miles away care about their wellbeing can be just as powerful as the resources themselves.
For me personally, this experience has been deeply humbling. Standing in front of communities and explaining why our mission matters reminded me that awareness is just as critical as fundraising. Each conversation, each handshake, and each exchange gave me the chance to connect with others on a human level, inspiring them to take part in something larger than themselves. It was heartening to see how people from all backgrounds came together, united by empathy, to support children they may never meet but who deserve every chance at a brighter future.
The work we are doing through our club demonstrates how young people can turn vision into action. By using creativity—like transforming paintings into a symbol of hope—we are finding ways to connect communities, raise awareness, and make meaningful contributions to global causes. I believe these efforts ripple outward. Every church we visit and every fundraiser we host plants seeds of compassion that will continue to grow, inspiring more people to act.
This is only the beginning. The 20 paintings sold in less than a month is a milestone, but our mission is ongoing. We plan to continue organizing events, reaching new communities, and building a network of supporters who share our commitment to making a difference. Most importantly, we are showing that no matter your age, background, or resources, you have the power to bring light into the lives of others. And together, step by step, we are proving that even small acts of kindness can have a profound global impact.
